A marketplace that belongs to everyone
No shareholders. No ads. No selling your data. Just a place to buy and sell stuff with other humans.
Here's the thing
Every time you list something on Facebook Marketplace, Gumtree, or wherever else — you're making money for Mark Zuckerberg. Every view, every click, every message. That's your attention, and they're selling it to advertisers.
Meanwhile, you're just trying to sell a couch. Or find a second-hand bike. Or hire someone to fix your fence.
We thought: what if there was a marketplace that wasn't trying to extract value from every interaction? What if it just... worked? And what if the people using it actually owned it?
So how does this work?
It's free to use
Post listings. Message people. Browse. Search. All free. We're not going to suddenly start charging or shove ads in your face. That's not what this is about.
The community runs it
Instead of a company deciding what's allowed and what isn't, the community moderates itself. Report dodgy listings. Flag scammers. Build your reputation by being a good buyer or seller. The more trustworthy you are, the smoother things go.
Smart moderation, not annoying moderation
We use automation to catch obvious spam and scams — the Nigerian prince stuff, the "I'll send a cheque" nonsense. But we don't make you solve 47 CAPTCHAs or wait 3 days for a human to approve your listing. If you've got a good track record, your stuff goes live instantly.
Your data stays yours
We collect the minimum we need to make the site work. Your email (so you can log in), your listings (obviously), your messages (so you can read them). We don't track you around the internet. We don't sell your info to advertisers. We don't do "personalised recommendations" based on your browsing history. Check the privacy policy — it's actually readable.
The trust system
Here's something different: we actually tell you how the moderation works. No secret algorithms. No "your post was removed for violating community guidelines" with zero explanation.
The basic idea is simple:
New accounts start with training wheels
Your first few listings might get a quick review. Nothing personal — we just see a lot of spam from brand new accounts.
Good listings get approved faster
Clear photos, honest descriptions, reasonable prices. The system recognises quality and lets it through quicker.
Build a reputation, get instant approval
Complete some transactions. Get good reviews. Verify your email. After a while, your listings go live immediately.
The community catches what automation misses
See something dodgy? Report it. If multiple people flag the same thing, it gets hidden while someone looks at it.

Why we built this
We got tired of being the product. Tired of platforms that pretend to be "connecting people" while really just farming engagement for advertisers. Tired of having to agree to 47 pages of terms that basically say "we can do whatever we want with your data."
So we're building something different. A marketplace that's actually designed for the people using it, not for selling to them.
It's part of a bigger thing — a network of tools and services that belong to everyone who uses them. But you don't need to care about any of that to sell your old furniture or find a plumber. It just works.
